These are a lovely example of a Japanese Geta shoe, with a platform wooden sole and velvet padded thong strap.  There are flowers painted on sides and top and a metal flower on bottom meant to mark your path as you walk.

They have typical vintage wear:  some scratches and marks, and velvet is coming apart a little at the seams (please see photo of seam damage). 

Measurements: 10" length, 3 1/2 " at widest point, almost 1 1/2" platform height at highest point.  Would fit a modern 8 - 8 1/2  although probably not very comfortable to actually wear!
