- Keeping Sane: If you want to survive the sea, you need to make sure your sanity is kept in check with the Panic system. Without it, youll be seeing deadly illusions, like terrifying aquatic creatures, false rocks you may crash your ship on, and much more.
- Oh Captain! My Captain!: Keep your boat in good shape with the boat upgrade menu, research opportunities and all-round repairs. Let it get too damaged and youll be one step closer to the grave.
- Preorder Bonus! Players will receive a custom rod with a colour that corresponds to the format theyve purchased it on (Blue for Playstation, Green for Xbox, Red for Nintendo Switch.) This rod replaces the normal starting rod when beginning a new save. It can catch fish more effectively than some other rods of its size.
A Cosmic Horror Fishing Adventure! DREDGE is a fishing adventure with a sinister undercurrent. Sell your catch, upgrade your vessel and search the depths for long-buried relics. Explore a mysterious archipelago and discover why some things are best left forgotten. Throughout each in-game day, players will be sailing, managing their state of panic, and making dialogue choices that affect the characters around them. Over time, players will begin researching upgrades, then using those upgrades to progress their boat through the upgrade tree, reading books to gain passive skills, finding relics and conquering even bigger and difficult fish. The main progression of the game will be helping townsfolk with quests, defeating bosses and piecing together the hidden story of DREDGE.
